It takes a village to put on a season at Convos. To show our appreciation, we’re highlighting our amazing staff over the next few weeks and showcasing the wonderful work they do here at Convos. First up – Erin Diener Mattull!

What is your position at Convos?
I am the Production & Education Assistant.

How long have you been at Convos?
I’ve been at Convos for a year and a half.

What is your favorite Convos performance of all time?
How do you choose? I have loved so many of them for so many different reasons. However, one thing is always consistent – community. The community a show can bring to an audience, will by and far, be the thing I love about the arts in general.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Convos?
As the production assistant, I often am the one that handles the shuttle runs. One early evening coming back, as I drove into one of the most beautiful sunsets, I just thought how grateful I am to meet so many wonderful artists and work with so many fab technicians and staff.

What album do you currently have on repeat? Two men perform music on stage; one sings and plays a violin, while the other sings and plays a guitar. In this staff profile, they stand before blue-lit windows—both in casual shirts—one wearing a baseball cap. Erin Diener Mattull attends the event.
The Brother Brothers

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?
Styx down at Deer Creek – Foreigner opened for them – It wasn’t even so much the show itself. It was the people. My parents not only raised us on these two groups along with many, but they created great memories for us – this just being one of the best I have as a young adult with my parents and sibs.

What are three words that describe you?
Loyal, fun, honest

If you could pick anyone or any show to perform at Purdue, who/what would it be and why?Erin Diener Mattull stands in a field of wildflowers, wearing a black, long-sleeved top and a floral skirt. With dark hair, she touches her neck and gazes calmly to the side—perfect for her Staff Profile.
Heather Maloney or April Verch – go check them out. You will see why.
