VIP Hospitality with Club Convos

Club Convos is an exclusive Elliott Hall of Music pre-show and intermission hospitality experience for Friends of Convos donors at the $500+ level. Othello Educational Lecture

On October 14 and October 15, UK theatre company The Lord Chamberlain’s Men brings a historically informed production of Shakespeare’s Othello to Purdue—staying true to the Elizabethan era with an all-male cast.

Ahead of the performances, enhance your evening with a pre-show conversation exploring one of Shakespeare’s most powerful tragedies.

Join Purdue Cornerstone faculty Tülin Tosun as she introduces the world of Othello, its unforgettable characters, and the timeless themes of love, trust, ambition, jealousy, and identity that still resonate with audiences.

Othello Post-Show Meet and Greet

Members of the Friends of Convos Director’s Council and above are invited to join the cast of Othello for a post-show meet-and-greet after each performance on October 14 & October 15. 

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men is the UK’s premier all-male theatre company—with direct links to the history of William Shakespeare—presenting Shakespeare’s work as he first saw it; all-male cast with Elizabethan costumes, music, and dance.

PIANO GIVING CIRCLE EXCLUSIVE EVENT

Piano Giving Circle Post-Show Reception

Starring Michael Cavanaugh, The Music of Billy Joel and Elton John features the greatest hits of these two great rock piano legends. Friends of Convos who are members of the Piano Giving Circle are invited to join us for a post-show reception to celebrate the amazing performance with the community who helps bring piano-based performances to life at Purdue.

Scott Silven’s At the Illusionist’s Table

Scott Silven returns to Purdue with his intimate, mind-bending At the Illusionist’s Table. This limited engagement features only six seatings of 24 guests. Each performance includes a bespoke three-course dinner, with wine and single-malt whisky pairings, inspired by the mystery and surprise of the evening.

Bria Skonberg’s Jingle Bell Swing Post-Show Reception 

Award-winning trumpeter and vocalist Bria Skonberg presents Jingle Bell Swing on December 6. Members of Friends of Convos Director’s Council and above are invited to join Bria Skonberg for a post-show reception. 

Skonberg brings her unique jazz flair to seasonal favorites this December, including her hit cover of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Sia’s “Santa Is Coming for Us,” “Christmas Island,” and many more. Skonberg seamlessly blends smoky vocals with her blistering trumpet skills.
