ABOUT The Lord Chamberlain’s Men
This fall, premier UK theatre company The Lord Chamberlain’s Men brings an historically-informed production of Shakespeare’s Othello to Purdue. Staying true to the Elizabethan era, the performance features an all-male cast with period costumes, music, and dance.
The powerful tragedy follows the respected General Othello, whose life and secret marriage to Desdemona are violently unraveled by the jealous, manipulative schemes of his passed-over soldier, Iago. Experience this heartbreaking story of deception and ruin in a highly praised, historically accurate theatrical event.
