The Brother Brothers

Thursday, February 27, 2020 - Friday, February 28, 2020

Free

“Intimate acoustic fold anchored by butter-smooth close-harmony vocals and minimalist-yet-sophisticated arrangements.” – Rolling Stone

Everyday elation and frustration always sounds sweeter with the sublime vocals, skillful strumming, and stunning songcraft of the Brothers Brothers. Opening for the I’m With Her tour at Purdue in 2018, identical twins David and Adam Moss immediately won the crowd over with two-part harmonies evocative of Simon & Garfunkel and a fraternal stage presence. From dark-alley desolation (“The Gambler”) to the lighthearted but lonely (“Banjo Song”) and lamentory ballads (“Angel Island,” “Frankie”), the Brothers Brothers care about the things people know and the world they’re making. Rolling Stone called them one of 10 new country artists you need to know, and Convocations is honored to welcome them as Outreach Artists-in-Residence—inspiring our students and community with free performances in unexpected places.
