Out-of-control amazing! — The Wall Street Journal
From that faded yet unmistakable LP cover stored in your basement to gracing Greater Lafayette’s largest stage, Carole King’s
Tapestry is a standard-bearer for 1970s folk music. But before she struck that barefoot pose near the window while her cat, Telemachus, almost stole the shot, King penned a slew of 1960s hits for pop, R&B and rock royalty, starting with “Will You Love Me Tomorrow?” by the Shirelles and then rounding out the decade with “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” for the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin. These songs and many more penned by King—like James Taylor’s “You’ve Got a Friend”—fuel this jukebox of a musical that will make you “Feel the Earth Move.”
