The three main characters from the Lightning Thief stand with their weapons

Theatreworks USA‘s “The Lightning Thief” will come to Purdue University’s Loeb Playhouse at 3 p.m. Nov. 8.

This performance also includes a pre-show discussion that is free for ticket holders at 2 p.m. in the Stewart Center west lobby.

Percy Jackson has felt like a misfit for years – as if there were something fundamentally different about him. Percy’s instinct proves true after he discovers he’s a descendant of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. With help from new friends and unexpected allies, Percy embarks on a quest to settle a battle between the gods that could change life on Earth forever. Adapted from author Rick Riordan‘s book series, “The Lightning Thief” is a musical about discovering your potential.

This performance will last approximately 60 minutes and is recommended for ages 7 and older.
