Parking Changes Coming for Events at Elliott Hall of Music

Beginning October 2, 2025, Purdue University Parking Operations will collect payment for event parking to support evening and weekend events at Elliott Hall of Music.
A portion of the proceeds will be directed to Purdue Convocations—a self-supporting organization.
Notice from Purdue Parking Operations
Purdue Convocations and Parking Operations announce that paid event parking will take effect at campus parking garages and lots that support evening and weekend events at the Elliott Hall of Music as of October 2, 2025.
Beginning Oct. 2, the following parking locations will require a paid event parking pass through ParkMobile starting two hours before each weeknight or weekend event:
- Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage
- University Street Parking Garage
- Lot directly north of Lawson Computer Science Building
- Armory lot for ADA accessibility spaces(Accessible spaces available to purchase day of show only. ADA Placard/License Plate Required. Do not park in assigned Reserved Spaces)

Event Parking
Event attendees are encouraged to purchase a parking pass in advance through ParkMobile to guarantee a space in one of these locations near Elliott Hall of Music. Attendees can park in any available space within the selected location, except those signed as Reserved. All ADA spaces require a BMV-issued handicap placard or license plate to be displayed, in addition to having a paid event parking pass.
If parking passes for any of these locations have not sold out by the day of the event, they can be purchased at the time of arrival through ParkMobile. Signage with a QR code will be posted for attendees to scan and purchase a parking pass with no ParkMobile account or app required. Cash will not be accepted onsite or in advance for parking passes.
Event parking passes cost $10 for all locations, plus a $1.50 fee assessed by ParkMobile. A full list of scheduled Convocations events is available online. Only those taking place in Elliott Hall of Music require paid parking passes, which can be purchased now for all fall and spring semester events.
Business parking accommodations
While this change will primarily impact event attendees, Purdue faculty, staff, and students should also be aware of the impact on parking. To support business and academic needs, eligible Purdue parking permit holders who are parked in the locations listed above prior to the time that event parking rates take effect will be able to remain parked with no event parking pass required.
If arriving after the time that event parking begins at these locations, individuals will either need to pay for event parking rates or seek alternative, free parking for non-event use in one of the following lots:
- Russell Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets
- Waldron Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets
- South of Duhme Residence Hall
