Get to know Purdue grad and STOMP company manager Michelle Warble

Purdue graduate and current STOMP tour manager Michelle Warble has done nothing but make her fellow Boilermakers proud. From enrolling at Purdue in the fall of 1996 to touring with STOMP in 2017, Warble has had a successful journey that will bring her back to Purdue on February 22.
Among other academic involvements, from 1996-2001 she studied business management through the Krannert School of Management alongside New Orleans’ NFL quarterback Drew Brees who she “remember(s) as being a really nice guy” from a few shared courses. When she wasn’t studying, Warble spent her time working as a supervisor for the police department. Michelle patrolled the campus and would escort Boilermakers and others on campus at night to ensure their safety before emergency telephones were stationed across campus.
After graduation, she spent some time working for ABC, specifically Monday Night Football, and was actually one of the last employees to work on this show before it was absorbed into ESPN. After that, she spent some time freelancing for New York sports teams like the Mets before she landed at Disney on Ice for 9 years. This opportunity allowed Michelle to travel the world and continue her work in human relief and other volunteering programs.
For several years she has been involved with the Red Cross and other relief programs. The Disney tour took her to Shanghai where she cared for rescued elephants, and Japan where she went with fellow cast and crew members to provide relief for victims of the tsunami and earthquake in 2011. She tells us that these were “life changing experiences.” She also said that she “actually didn’t grow to love theater until working with Disney on Ice”; working in theater production has given her a true appreciation for the work. “Theater gives people the chance to escape reality, for even just a few hours, and lets people forget about their troubles, which is very powerful.” This new found passion is what led Michelle to accept the position as tour manager for STOMP.
Michelle has been working with STOMP for almost 2 years now. She would never work for a show that she doesn’t believe in, and she absolutely adores this production. What she enjoys the most are the people.

It has been 10 years since Michelle has been on campus, and she’s excited to be back in familiar territory, but also excited to see all the changes that have been made since. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Michelle and the cast of STOMP to Purdue on February 22nd. Boiler Up!
