A masterful musician with Midwestern roots, Kenny Broberg can thank the Hoosier State for a career boost. The pianist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, now living in Madrid, Spain, has gained broader acclaim since winning the 2021 American Pianists Awards and Christel DeHaan Classical Fellowship in Indianapolis. He also inspires young music students as an artist-in-residence at the University of Indianapolis.
A Cliburn Competition winner, Broberg’s original composition “Barcarolle” was recently featured on National Public Radio. He has thrilled audiences on four different continents, but with so much time in Indiana, Broberg is a fan of Boilermaker hospitality. Look for Broberg’s debut album on the Steinway & Sons label in January 2023.
