27th Annual West Lafayette Global Fest

Saturday, September 17, 2022 / 3:00 pm 11:00 pm

West Lafayette, IN 47907 United States

FREE STREET FESTIVAL

The annual West Lafayette Global Fest returns with its street festival concept—dozens of booths and multiple stages lining Northwestern Avenue and Columbia Street full of delectable delights, craft beer, cultural merchandise, and world music performances from every corner of the planet. The outdoor celebration of what this blue marble we call home can offer has been a cherished event in West Lafayette for decades.

Headlining the live music stage will be Gili Yalo, a musician who blends funk, jazz, and soul with traditional sounds from his Jewish-Ethiopian roots. Also slated to perform are Chicago’s Tuvergen Band, a Mongolian folk-fusion trio, and Lone Piñon, a New Mexican string band or “orquesta típica.” This international mixtape pairs well with the cultural sights, smells, and flavors that help make Purdue and West Lafayette exciting and diverse.
