Audio
Audio induction hearing loop systems are now available in Loeb Playhouse, Fowler Hall, and Elliott Hall of Music. Please switch your hearing aid setting to T-coil. If you need assistance, ask an usher or visit the House Manager office in the lower level of Elliott Hall of Music.
American Sign Language (ASL)
Sign language interpretation is available with sufficient advance notice and conditional upon the availability of qualified service providers. Please request this service at least 60 days prior to the performance by contacting Purdue Convocations at 765-494-9712. We cannot guarantee the availability of this service if it is requested beyond the deadline.
Captioning
Captioning service is available with sufficient advance notice and conditional upon the availability of qualified service providers. Please request this service at least 14 days prior to the performance by contacting Purdue Convocations at 765-494-9712. We cannot guarantee the availability of this service if it is requested beyond the deadline.
If captioning has been requested and approved, patrons may visit convocations.purdue.edu/cc during the event.
Elevators
There are no elevators in Elliott Hall of Music or Loeb Playhouse. To avoid climbing stairs at Elliott Hall of Music patrons may enter at the NORTH or SOUTH access doors with the GREEN awnings, where there are no steps to climb to reach the main floor seating. Be sure to request main floor level seating when ordering tickets and explain your needs.
Friends of Convocations Pre-Show Club
For patrons eligible for Pre-Show Club (beginning 1 hour before show time), elevator access is available by entering Hovde Hall from the southwest corner of the building (shown on map below) and using the building elevator located in the foyer. Take the elevator to the second floor to enjoy Pre-Show Club, then enter Elliott Hall of Music by using the adjoining bridge to the main floor lobby.
Friends of Convocations at the Ambassador level and above may display their parking pass issued at the beginning of the season and use the Friends of Convos lot along University Street, as shown in GOLD on the map below. Only Elliott Hall events announced during the season launch will make use of Friends of Convos parking. Otherwise, the Accessible Parking (read more below) is available to any event patron with a valid accessible vehicle permit.
Accessible Parking and Access at Elliott Hall of Music
For those with accessible parking permits, parking spaces are located in the lot north of Elliott Hall of Music (along University Street, as indicated in BLUE on the map). Additionally, there are a very limited number of spaces along the semicircular drive around Elliott Hall of Music. Drive along the north or south side of the building to find the available spaces. You may also drop off patrons needing special assistance at the north or south side Accessible Entrance doors (look for the green awnings, shown on map below) and then park in one of the parking garages (see below).
Loeb Playhouse and Fowler Hall
When attending a performance at Loeb Playhouse or Fowler Hall in Stewart Center, accessible parking is available near the west entrance to Stewart Center along Memorial Drive. Assistance is not available at these locations. For events in Loeb Playhouse or Fowler Hall, entry ramps to Stewart Center are located on the west side of the building on the Memorial Mall. Phones
A public telephone is located in the hallway between Loeb Playhouse and Fowler Hall in Stewart Center and in the center, lower lobby doors of Elliott Hall of Music. A TTY phone is located in Hovde Hall near room 68.
Restrooms
Accessible restrooms in Stewart Center are located on the main floor in the university library and at the east end of Stewart Center. An accessible restroom is available in the lower left-hand corner of the main floor of Elliott Hall of Music and on the ground floor and first floor of Hovde Hall.
Seating
Wheelchair seating is available in Elliott Hall of Music, Loeb Playhouse, and Fowler Hall with companion seating located nearby. Wheelchair assistance from your car to your seat is available at Elliott Hall of Music. Ask an usher for assistance. A patron desiring transfer seating or an extra-wide seat should request this when purchasing a ticket. Extra-wide seats are available in Zone A in Elliott Hall of Music. Please inform the box office of special seating needs when ordering.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome. Special seating is required. When ordering, request an aisle seat and inform the box office that a service animal will be with you.
Water
Water fountains are located in the lobby of Loeb Playhouse and in the west lobby of Stewart Center. Patrons with disabilities may ask an usher for bottled water in Elliott Hall of Music or may use the water fountain on the first floor of Hovde Hall just across the bridge.
