Pat McAfee to open ‘Barstool Heartland’ headquarters in Indianapolis
The most successful punter in Indianapolis Colts history—Pat McAfee—has turned his mind toward comedy and now he’s creating a media empire in downtown Indianapolis with Barstool Heartland.
Barstool Heartland: McAfee’s media empire
The headquarters of Barstool Heartland, Pat McAfee’s offshoot of Barstool Sports, will be a 10,000-square-foot studio and “will have a multimedia center, radio studio, editing rooms and an entertainment area. There will also be a basketball court and golf simulator in the open-concept loft-style space with 30-foot-high ceilings and skylights.” McAfee said Barstool Heartland will create podcasts, videos, blogs, movies “and any other form of entertainment you can think of.”
“Our goal is to attract the best talent not just in Indianapolis, but from across the country to come and work with us,” McAfee said. “We needed to create a space that encouraged the highest level of creativity.”

McAfee is now a contributor to the satirical blog Barstool Sports—for which he’s a podcast host of The Pat McAfee Show—and also a philanthropist, providing assistance to sons and daughters of military personnel. Relatable and ridiculously funny—and with zero filter—McAfee has now turned his obsessive mind toward humor in hopes of “making the world a happier place.”
