10 Years Later – The Martha Graham Dance Company’s Modern Dance Masterclass

Ten years ago, the Martha Graham Dance Company traveled to Purdue University and performed “Appalachian Spring” in Elliott Hall of Music. But before they took the stage, members of the company stopped in to a modern dance class in Pao Hall to teach a masterclass through Purdue Convocations’ Curricular Connections. Watch the video below for a blast from the past as Denise Vale, the associate director of the Martha Graham Dance Company, teaches students the Martha Graham technique.

Curricular Connections is a program that integrates artists into the classroom for collegiate students at both Purdue University and Ivy Tech Community College.
